Canadians of All Faiths Condemn the Attack on Syrian Refugees in Vancouver

(Surrey, BC) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada and the Muslims Against Terrorism strongly condemn last night`s pepper spray attacks on more than 30 Syrian refugees in Vancouver area. This hateful and violent crime must not go unpunished. It is police`s responsibility to capture the culprit(s) and bring him/her to justice. However, this isolated incident should not be seen as a reflection on the Canadian society. Overwhelming majority of Canadians does support the settlement of Syrian refugees in Canada. The government of Canada and the millions of Canadians of all faiths are working hard to help these victims of Daesh’s (ISIS) terrorism.

Tonight at 7:00 PM Imam Syed Soharwardy, the founder of Muslims Against Terrorism and the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada will be addressing a large Multi-Faith gathering at the Taj Park Convention Centre, 8580 – 132 Street, Surrey, BC, to mark the celebration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) called Eid Milad un Nabi (peace be upon him). He will thank the Canadian government and the Canadians of all faiths for helping the Syrian refugees. People of all faiths are invited to attend this program. It’s free and open to everyone.

For any questions please contact Imam Syed Soharwardy at 416-994-5467 OR Muhammad Arjumand at 778-863-3331.
