Appeal to All Christians to Stop American War Against
Iraq
The
Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC) extends good wishes to all Canadians
on the occasion of the holiday season and requests them to remember, during
this holiday season, the victims of 9/11 and the victims of its backlash
against Muslims. It is very disappointing that the American strategy and plan
to stop terrorism is creating more terrorism and chaos in this world. ISCC
appeals to all Canadians to stop the American war against innocent children and
civilians of Iraq. We believe that the US policy makers are trying to
execute a wickedly designed conspiracy against Muslims of this world. American
government is using Saddam Hussein as a scapegoat. The actual plan is to occupy
Iraq.
Saddam
Hussein has never been a practicing Muslim. In fact, the majority of Muslims
believes that Saddam was planted and guided by American agencies. American agencies created this monster Saddam
and now are using him to invade and occupy a Muslim country. America is bringing back the era of
colonialism and racism in this world. We believe that Sadddam
Hussein can be removed peacefully through intelligence and diplomacy. There is no need to rage a war.
ISCC
urges the Prime Minister, Jean Chretien not to
support USA
in this war of terror and prejudice. The
executive council and the members of ISCC are willing to provide any assistance
to the government of Canada
in order to stop the terror of Saddam Hussein and George Bush. Mr. Bush and his government are governing America
through fear and intolerance. On one
side the terrorists of 9/11 tried to take away the peace of this world but on
the other side the American government is trying hard to make sure that the
peace never returns to this world.
Therefore,
ISCC will be holding two town hall meetings in Calgary
and Toronto to discuss the American aggression
against Iraq.
In Calgary, the
meeting will be held on December 29 at 3:30 PM at Whitehorn
Community Centre, 228 Whitehorn Road, NE Calgary. Before the town hall meeting at 3:00 PM Prof.
Syed Soharwardy will give a lecture on the topic " Jesus Christ and
Muhammad (Peace be upon them) - The Prophets of Islam ".
The
second town hall meeting will be held in Toronto
on January 3, 2003 at 7:30 PM at Lions Club of Credit Valley, 20 Rosewood Ave., Mississauga.
Both programs are open to public and free.
