QuestionsCategory: Beliefs in IslamMy questions about Islam & The Quran Al Kareem
haneen abo hamad asked 2 months ago

Hello, I am a 14-year old muslim and for most of my life I haven’t been taught a lot about Islam. I just started praying recently and my life feels like it’s at it’s best. I have a couple of questions, though.

1. Is forcing your non-muslim child into islam to marry them off to other men halal? So basically if parents of a child my age, marry me off to another 15-17 year old man to have kids, and to continue the family, is it halal? I’ve heard that forcing religion is haram, but is that any way to justify it?

2. Is it true that the Quran (Al-Kareem) has verses that agree to raping prepubescent girls, have sex/rape/beat sex slaves & work slaves? I apologize if these questions come off rude.

I truly want to know because I, myself, have been a victim of rape by my cousin. It went on for a few months. I was 5-6 and he was 16-17. I haven’t even told my parents. There was also a time where my father hired a Sheikh for me to teach me the Quran. At first everything was okay, but then he started touching me, I didn’t know what to do, I was just a 9 year old. Slowly things got worse. First he touched my thighs, then my bottom, and soon my crotch. He also has put me on his lap sometimes, all of this WHILE reciting the Quran. I have never though of leaving Islam because I do believe things will get better for me, I’ll never lose faith in Allah. But I wanted to let you know.

I hope you do read this and answer my questions and if there is an Islamic way to cope with my trauma from these stories.

Thank you so much.
