Hi, so I was born Muslim, up until three years ago, I didn’t question Islam. However, I wanted to learn more, and was so committed to learning about the religion.
In the process of learning, I found that I disagree with a lot of concepts related to women in Islam. I feel like as a muslim girl, I am kind of a lower class creature; this is because of the rules regarding heritage, marriage, work…etc.
I tried asking imams back home(Egypt), but the answers I received were even more repelling. So, the abstract question is: as a Muslim women, does my religion really guarantee my rights in the Muslim society?
