Destruction of Historical Ancient Shrines in Mali

Responsible Wahabis/Salafis Must Be Tried As War Criminals

(Calgary) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada strongly denounces the barbaric actions of WAHABIS/SALAFIS in Timbuktu, Mali. They have destroyed hundreds and thousands of years old Sufi shrines, which are world heritage sites.  They have destroyed a UNESCO declared world heritage Mosque in Timbuktu and killed hundreds of innocent Muslims in Mali. Islamic Supreme Council of Canada requests the United Nations to intervene in Mali and send a multi-national force to Mali immediately in order to save lives and stop WAHABIs / SALAFIs from destroying world heritage.

Wahabis / Salafis have destroyed several historical shrines and sites in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Somalia. Now they are causing the same destruction in Mali. They are the most uncivilized, cruel and ignorant people on earth.  They have no taste for arts and culture. These uncultured criminals call themselves true Muslims but in fact, Islam is under threat from them. Every Muslim is under the WAHABI/SALAFI threat. Al Qaida, Taliban and several other Wahabi / Salafi organizations follow the Saudi interpretation of Islam which has never been accepted by the overwhelming majority of Muslim scholars. The Wahabi / Salafi interpretation of Islam and Islamic laws is a distortion in Islam, which is called “BID’A” in Arabic.

ISCC and its affiliate mosques and organizations request the Canadian government to move a resolution at the United Nations and UNESCO to protect Sufi shrines in Mali and bring the members of the Al-Qaida-linked faction “Ansar Dine” to the International Court of Justice as war criminals.

If the world will remain a mere spectator of this destruction then these fanatics will not stop in Mali. They will bring their destruction to the other parts of the world.  They are the biggest threat to human civilization. Please stop them.
