Al Madinah & ISCC Help for the Victims of Slave Lake Fire
(Calgary) The founder of Islamic Supreme Council of Canada, Imam Syed Soharwardy and some of the members of his congregation at the Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Centre will be leaving Calgary for Edmonton and Athabasca today to distribute aid to the victims of Slave Lake fire.
“We have collected some of the most needed items such as air mattresses, pillows, bugs spray, under garments, non-perishable food items, etc. We want to reach out to our brothers and sisters at this difficult time”, said, Syed Soharwardy today.
Imam Soharwardy and some volunteers will be leaving from Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Centre, 5700 Falsbridge Dr., NE Calgary at 10:30 AM today for Edmonton where the members of ISCC Edmonton will join him with more aid items. They will travel to Athabasca to meet and distribute the aid to the victims of Slave Lake.
