Imam Syed Mukhtar Hussain Naeemi is  the President
(Calgary) Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC) is pleased to announce the opening of its first chapter in the United States.  Today, at the Ghosul Azam Masjid in Huston, Texas, Imam Syed Mukhtar Hussain Shah Naeemi was elected as the first president of the American chapter of ISCC.

Islamic Supreme Council of Canada is a Calgary based national Islamic organization with chapters in several major cities of Canada. This is the first time that a chapter is opened out side Canada.  Islamic Supreme Council of Canada was established in year 2000 in Calgary. ISCC has chapters in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, and Montreal.

Imam Syed Mukhtar Hussain Shah Naeemi is a highly qualified Islamic scholar. He is the Imam at the Ghosul Azam Mosque in Huston. Imam Mukhtar travels around the world and addresses large gatherings of Muslims.  He has also spoken at several interfaith conferences across North America.

We hope that Imam Mukhtar will help in spreading the message of religious tolerance and understanding across the United States.  It is important to note that Imam Mukhtar was the only American signatory on the ISCC”s fatwa on Terrorism issued last year in January.
