ISCC and MAT Strongly Condemn The Execution of Shia Saudi Scholar Shaykh Al-Nimr

(Calgary) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada and the Muslims Against Terrorism strongly condemn the execution of Muslim Shia cleric Shaykh Nimr Al Nimr in Saudi Arabia. Shaykh Al-Nimr was a prominent religious leader in Saudi Arabia who spoke out against the corruptions and the policies of the Saudi government. Shaykh Al Nimr was a voice of Shia Muslim minority in Saudi Arabia. ISCC and MAT ask the Canadian government to condemn the execution of political opponents in Saudi Arabia. Canadian government should call the Saudi Ambassador and register a strong protest against the human right rights violations in Saudi Arabia.

ISCC is asking all Sunni Muslims in particular and Calgarians in general to participate in a peaceful protest rally on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 6:00 PM in front of the Calgary City Hall along with our Shia brothers and sisters, Hussaiani Association of Calgary.
