Alhamdulillah, today [September 24, 2015] in Calgary more than 15,000 Muslims prayed Eid Prayer in three different Jama’t at the Genesis Centre and four other locations in Calgary. May Allah and His Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) be pleased with all the volunteers and the members of Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly. Ameen.

Eid-ul-Fitr Prayer at the Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid and Islamic School Property

Alhamdulillah, the first ever Eid-ul-Fitr prayer on the property of Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid and the Islamic school made history in Calgary. In spite of very heavy rains and more than 60 km/hr blowing winds thousands of Calgary Muslims prayed under the beautiful tents at the Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid & Islamic School property. The amazing team of Al Madinah Calgary Islamic Assembly (AMCIA) did the fantastic job in organizing and managing the arrangements. Under the worse weather conditions the AMCIA team was so organized and united that each and every worshiper praised them for their hard work and dedication. I am also very happy with the cooperation of all the community members who came and prayed at the Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid location. The men, women and the children everyone cooperated with the volunteers and had nothing but smiles on their faces and deep appreciations for the AMCIA team. Alhamdulillah, AMCIA team exceeded the fundraising target for Masjid and School project. This shows the confidence and the trust that the community has in the Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid and the Islamic school project.
I am grateful to the City of Calgary, Calgary Police, all the volunteers and the members for their support and hard work. My special thanks to brothers Khalil Khan, Faheem Ahmed, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Rehan, Syed Musarrat Hussain, Sajid Sayed, Junaid Sayed, Muhammad Hashem, Shoaib Ahmed, Ali Shah, Javed Anjum, Salman Mazher, Murtuza Khan and several other volunteers. May Allah and His Nabi Alaihissalam be pleased with them.

Sayed Nizamuddin Chishti sahib, Anis Siddiqui, Hafiz Fahad Siddiqui, Zafar Iqbal, Hafiz Saeed Ovaisi, Hafiz Suhail Ahmed, Muhammad Aslam, Dr. Athar Mahmood, Kamran Siyalvi, Taymoor Qadri, Hafiz Zareef Naeemi, Allama Azfar Razvi, Muhammad Hassaan Razvi, Syed Muhammad Hassaan Ali, Maulana Shahid Bashir, Mohtaram Gul Rehman, Firoz Berywala and Shahzad Ali sahib helped in arranging Taraweeh, Friday and Eid prayers in various parts of the city. May Allah and His Nabi Alaihissalam be pleased with all of them.
The first ever Eid ul Fitr prayer on the grounds of Gunbad-e-Khizra Masjid and Islamic school became more spiritual and joyful when a Calgarian, Sara embraced Islam in the presence of hundreds of sisters. May Allah give Sara the strength of Emaan. Ameen. Eid Mubarak. Thanks and JazakAllah.
