The Earth Day – A Very Different Perspective

Among all the planets of the universe the EARTH is the only planet that has the honour to keep the body of the most beloved creation of Allah, the last Messenger of Allah, the most perfect and complete human being, Hazrat Muhammad Mustufa (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) and the bodies of other Prophets and Messengers of Allah (Peace be upon them).

Although, during the night of Al-Asra-wal-Me’raj, Allah’s “ARSH” and the Heavens did kiss the shoes (Na’lain) of Rasool-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) but the earth is the only planet that had the chance to kiss the feet and the shoes of Rasool-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) for sixty three years.

Although, all the planets and the Heavens are beautiful creation of Allah but no planet / Heaven was blessed with Gunbad-e-Khizra (The Green Dome above the Prophet’s Mazar-Al-Sharif). As a poet said in Urdu language

E’zaz yeh hasil hay to hasil hay Zameen ko

Aflaak pe to gunbad-e-khizra na hee koee

(The honour for this earth is that it has the Gunbad-e-Khizra (The Green Dome of Prophet’s Mosque) while the other planets and Heavens are deprived from this honour).Although, angel Jabraeel (Alaihissalam) lives in Heavens but this honoured angel had no choice but to come down on earth to meet Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) and convey the messages of Allah to him. This way earth used to get the opportunity to touch Jabraeel (Alaihissalam) and be blessed.

Every morning and evening 70 thousands angels descend on earth to say Salam on Rasool-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) and visit the Mazar-Al-Sharif in Madinah tul Munawwarah. This is once in a lifetime opportunity for an angel. The residents of Heavens (angels) get once in their lifetime the opportunity to visit Prophet’s Mazar-e-Mubarak while the residents of earth can visit as many times Rasool-ullah’s (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) Mazar and Masjid as they want (Insha Allah).

Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) said that the space between my grave and my pulpit is a part of Heaven. The residents of earth have the chance to visit Heaven while living on earth. As mentioned by a poet in Urdu

Jisay Dakhnee ho jannat Daray Mustaf pay ja aiy

Wuh naseeb jagmaga aiy wuh murad dil kee paa aiy

(Anyone who wants to see Paradise should go to the doors of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) – the sinless in Madinah. That person will get his wishes fulfilled and his/her luck will shine)Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him) said that these Masajid (Mosques) on earth are the gardens of Paradise. You should go there and spend some time inside them. Allah has made the entire earth a place for worship for Muslims.

Among various countless creations of Allah human being is the best creation of Allah and human was sent to live on earth and enjoy the blessings of Allah on earth. If human lives his life according to the guidance of Allah called Qur’an and the guidance of Rasool-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) called Sunnah then this earth becomes Heaven for him/her.

However, one day every thing will end and the earth will end too. The only forever living is Almighty Allah.

May Allah help us in keeping the earth clean and making this EARTH a peaceful place for everyone. Amen
