For Immediate Release

Canadian Government, United Nations and All Western Governments Must Declare White Supremacy Groups Terrorist Organizations and Ban Them Immediately

(Calgary, Alberta) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC) and Muslims Against Terrorism (MAT) ask the Canadian government to declare the White Supremacy groups terrorist organizations. These extremist hateful groups must be banned in Canada and around the world.  Just like membership in ISIS, AlQaedah and other terrorist organizations is illegal and a crime we ask the Canadian government to declare membership in White Supremacy groups illegal and a crime.

ISCC and MAT also request the United Nations and all western governments to declare white supremacy nationalist groups terrorist organizations similar to what United Nations and all western governments have done with ISIS, AlQaedah, Taleban and other extremist organizations.

The rise in white supremacy neo-Nazi extremist groups in the western world is extremely dangerous and alarming for everyone. Based upon the intelligence and media reports in Canada more than 300 white nationalist groups are actively recruiting and radicalizing people. In the United States more than 700 extremist neo-Nazi groups are recruiting youth and training them for violence. Similarly, in Europe, Australia and Russia such groups are on the rise.  If laws are not made against these dangerous extremist hateful groups the tragedies like Christchurch, Pittsburgh, Quebec City, etc. will be repeated and lots of innocent lives will be lost. We ask the United Nations and all governments to unite against all forms of racism, discrimination, hate, intolerance and violence.

In order to remember the victims of terrorist attacks at the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15, 2019, Islamic Supreme Council of Canada and Muslims Against Terrorism will be holding a large memorial service (Fateha) after the forty days of their passing called “Arbaeen” OR “Chehlum”.  ISCC and MAT has invited several political, religious, academic and social community leaders to speak at this occasion. The venue for this program will be announced in couple of weeks.
